In order to discuss each cultural aspect, Tonalestate changes its look. The international convention will take the format of an “International Summer University”, a summer university mainly directed to the new generations that find themselves facing the new challenges that the world presents.
The format of the “International Summer University” has the goal of offering young people the thoughts and the cultural, scientific, religious and social proposals of personalities that live as protagonists theirs and our time, through lectures that dive deep into the theme in the various aspects of culture; but the main goal is to give the opportunity to young people from different continents, different social and economic situations, to reunite in order to “work together”, to plan and come up with constructive ideas for the future.
Tonalestate will carry out throughout the days of Saturday 6th, Sunday 7th and Monday 8th August, in Passo del Tonale, Vermiglio (TN) and Ponte di Legno (BS).
PARTICIPANTS
The participants, on an international level, can be related to these contexts: young people – students (university and college students, middle schoolers, and high schoolers), high school and middle school teachers, university professors, PhD students, personalities from the field of culture, of economy, of politics, of science, of religion professionals and artists, coordinators of cultural associations, of solidarity associations and voluntary associations, retirees.
DAYS
First day: welcoming remarks and introductions to the program; politics (in its real sense, meaning “being interested in the polis”, in the people): a gaze to the world in which we live. Geopolitics, economy, practical initiatives, and experiences on the field.
Second day: interreligious dialogue. Practical experiences of dialogue and work on religious problematics, integration, immigration, and education.
Third day: dedicated to the scientific point of view of the theme, throughout science, philosophy, history, literature, all the arts. Conclusive remarks.
The entrance to all the conferences is free and open for everyone, as it is to the concerts and exhibitions.
EXPO
During the International Summer University of Tonalestate exhibitions of paintings, sculptures, graphic works, and photography of artists from all over the world will be installed. The expositions are linked to the theme of the year and are open all day long in the exhibition spaces.
CONCERTS
During the evenings, Tonalestate organises concerts and theatre shows; classical music, opera, choirs, folk and ethnic music, traditional music, and folk dancing.
